Refund and Replacement Frequently Asked Questions

If you still have the original money order, you can mail it to us along with your proof of purchase (receipt stub attached to the left side of your money order or written verification from place of purchase), and we’ll send you a free replacement. For full details, head to our Claim Center.

If you don’t have the original, we must wait 45 days from the purchase date to begin processing a refund, which includes a $25 fee. For full details, head to our Claim Center.

Once we receive your original money order, we’ll process your claim and send you a replacement.

We’ll begin to process your claim 45 days after the purchase date if the money order has not been cashed.

  • If your claim is rejected, we’ll email you the reason. Please read carefully and resubmit if applicable with the corrected information.

Your refund will be issued as a money order, which can be deposited or cashed just like the original.

Keep a copy of everything you send for your records.

If your money order has been lost or stolen you may not be able to recoup your losses. To try and recover your funds, follow these steps:

  1. File a police report and be sure to include the money order number.
  2. Once you have a case number, fill out this form.
  3. Enter your case number at the bottom of the form.

We cannot process stolen claims without a police case number.

No, immediately complete the money order by filling in the front of the Money Order, signing, and addressing it at the bottom. A blank money order is as valuable as cash and should be handled carefully. If it is lost or stolen, you may not be able to recoup your loss.
